Introduction

A Flood Zone Kid is always ready, willing, and able to face any disaster! In case of a flood evacuation, you should have your own "Disaster Kit" ready to go. Collect the items you will need and store them in a suitcase or duffel bag like Sparks is doing.

Pets Need Protection, too!
Most evacuation shelters don't accept animals. Contact your vet, ASPCA, or Humane Society
to get more information. Then collect the supplies your pet will need:
  • ID collar and rabies tag
  • pet carrier
  • leash
  • 2-weeks supply of pet food
  • bowls for water and food
  • necessary medication
  • proof of vaccination
  • cat litter, newspapers, trash bags
  • manual can opener
